2026 AAXO Scholarship Application
The Alpha Alpha Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in partnership with Prestigious Pearls Foundation Incorporated, is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for our 2026 - 2027 Academic Scholarships!
This year we are excited to announce that we will be award four (4) $2000 Academic Scholarships to four (4) exemplary seniors residing and attending schools in Anson and Union Counties. We will also give out one (1) $1000 book scholarship. The students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and will attend an accredited four-year college or university in Fall 2026.
Applications are being accepted January 15th through March 15th.
In memory of Belynda Little Horne, a local educator in Union County, a beloved member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and an alumna of Winston-Salem State University, this Scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who will be attending Winston-Salem State in the Fall.
The Lanelle D. Carr scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student in honor of Alpha Alpha Chi Omega Chapter’s first President. President Carr is a proud graduate of Western Carolina University, and she exemplifies excellence! This scholarship is open to a student attending any accredited four-year college or university.
The Prestigious Pearl Scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student attending a Historically Black college or university.
